JHDG provides a range of services to large
physician and ambulatory organizations to improve market position,
operating and financial results, as well as the use of clinical business
technology.
We focus solely on the physician side of
the market - e.g. single and multi-specialty medical groups, IPA's,
large health system groups, academic medical center groups and hospitals
seeking to expand their physician capacity. We also work with electronic
medical record vendors, payers, etc. to provide validation on business
models, business cases, etc.
I don't really know how well my practice is doing, what can JHDG do to help me better understand my business?
JHDG can do a number of things to assess
the state of your practice - ranging from a high-level assessment to
an in-depth analysis of all areas of your practice…and very quickly.
Is my group to small to benefit from the services of JHDG?
JHDG Group typically provides services
to physician groups of 50 or more members. In many cases, we provide
services to smaller groups through regionally sponsored initiatives
such as ones through IPA's, MSO's, health systems, and payers.
It starts with scale. The larger the group,
the better able to negotiate. It is also increasingly essential that
the group have data on clinical results, and be able to demonstrate
clinical cost effectiveness (an EMR makes a big difference), and contract
compliance related to payments and denials. Lastly, negotiating with
payors in not an annual event, it is an ongoing and relentless process.
How do I know if we are ready to implement an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)?
JHD Group can perform a comprehensive readiness
assessment to ensure your group is prepared to move forward. If your
group is not deemed ready at this time, we will illustrate the steps
that your group needs to take to become more prepared to assume an
initiative of this magnitude.
As a physician, how can I make more money without working harder?
This is a challenging question, but it
is primarily achieved through efficiency and the utilization of technology.
If utilized correctly, your new workflows and systems will enable you
to bill and code more effectively, streamline the revenue cycle process,
potentially increase throughput, identify patients to be seen for office
visits and tests on a regularly scheduled basis, etc.
My practice is functioning well on a day-to-day basis. What can JHDG do to take it to the next level?
Once a physician group has mastered the
operational side of the business it is time to develop market leadership.
We would assess your market to determine if expansion is right for
the group, we would also look at joint ventures, increasing ancillary
revenues and other programs.
