Mr. Walling has over 30 years of healthcare management and consulting experience with integrated delivery systems, community and specialty hospitals, oncology and other diagnostic centers, ambulatory surgery centers and imaging centers. 

Mike’s areas of expertise include business and clinical care operations, physician practice management, strategic planning for hospitals and physician organizations, information technology, as well as the implementation of technology enabled operations improvement. In this regard he has designed and developed software applications, implemented Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Systems, improved Revenue Cycle Management, implemented Supply Chain Management systems, provided large scale Project Management, and served as Interim Chief Information Officer in a variety of healthcare organizations.

Prior to joining the JHD Group, Mr. Walling was the Director of Sales for the Western Region, US Healthcare Division of EDS; Founder and Principal of the NorthStar Group where he provided healthcare clinical and business process improvement, information technology planning and implementation, e-Business and related technology consulting; and, a Partner at Ernst & Young where he directed the Healthcare Technology Enablement consulting practice in the Southwest.

Mr. Walling has a Bachelors Degree and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas.
